POSITIVE BEHAVIOR INTERVENTION SUPPORTS (PBIS)
We at Lake Ridge Middle School have implemented PBIS in order to change the way we acknowledge behaviors.
PBIS is a framework by which we teach the behaviors we expect to see in various settings during the school day and acknowledge when those behaviors are being done correctly. Our goal is to continue to encourage the positive behaviors we want to see happening in our school so that those behaviors become second nature.
You may hear your child coming home talking about his or her Laker Loot - this is our acknowledgment reward system. Students are able to purchase items out of the Laker Loot Store, passes to LRMS games, or other fun activities that we have planned with the right amount of 'loot'!
You can help at home by teaching your child what you expect out of him or her and reinforcing that behavior by acknowledging when it is done correctly.
Together we can promote the positivity that our students need to do better in school and at home!
