Uniformity of Colors Clothing


GOAL:  For students with demonstrated financial hardship, Lake Ridge Schools Superintendent, Dr. Sharon Johnson-Shirley, invites monetary donations as well as donations of new uniformity of color items in all sizes:  Kindergarten to Grade 5.

Uniformity of Colors for Elementary Students


Lake Ridge Middle School and Calumet High School Students

will wear uniformity of colors beginning in August, 2010.


o  Tops

          Red or white shirts, long or short sleeves with collars or turtle necks; sweaters or

          sweatshirts without hoods


o  Bottoms

          Khaki or black pants, skirts, jumpers, shorts, skorts


o  Shoes

          Black closed-toed shoes with no logos (Black or white tennis shoes may be used for P.E.)


Clothing may be purchased in such stores as This Is It at 5306 W. 25th Ave. or Burr Street at 25th Avenue, Gary (Support a Calumet Twp. business!), or JC Penney, K Mart, Wal Mart, Target, Meijer, Family Dollar, etc.


Drop off donations at the Lake Ridge Central Office or the elementary school of your choice:

  Lake Ridge Schools Central Office:   6111 W. Ridge Road, Gary

                     Grissom Elementary:    7201 W. 25th Avenue, Gary

                  Hosford Park Elementary:    4735 Arthur Street, Gary

                    Longfellow, Elementary:    4500 Calhoun Street, Gary
