IMPORTANT LONGFELLOW ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AND LAKE RIDGE NEW TECH MIDDLE SCHOOL UPDATE!

We’re making great progress and are in the final stretch of our storm recovery efforts!

Our teams and community partners have been working incredibly hard to prepare our schools to safely welcome students back. To allow this important work to be fully completed, students will return according to the following schedule:

• Longfellow New Tech Elementary School students will return on Thursday, September 10, 2026.

• Lake Ridge New Tech Middle School students will return on Friday, September 11, 2026.

We know everyone is ready to get back to school, and we are too! This additional time will allow our teams to finish the remaining recovery work and ensure our buildings are ready for our students and staff.

Thank you to our families, staff, community partners, and everyone who has stepped up to support Lake Ridge throughout the recovery from the August 11 storm. The strength and support of our community have been incredible.
