School Nutrition Program

We offer a range of school meal programs throughout our schools. Below you will find more information on each program and how it provides fresh, nutritious food options that students truly enjoy. To view the Lake Ridge menus, go to https://lakeridge.nutrislice.com.

Universal Breakfast Program

All students can enjoy breakfast for FREE in our schools. Breakfast is conveniently served in each student’s homeroom through Breakfast in the Classroom. Encourage your student(s) to join us each morning. Breakfast is an excellent way to kick off the day!

  • Head Start: 8:00 A.M.
  • Longfellow Elementary School: 8:20 A.M.
  • Lake Ridge New Tech Middle School: 7:30 A.M.
  • Calumet New Tech High School: 7:30 A.M.

School Lunch Program

Each day, we offer students a nutritious lunch, including a meat or meat alternative, grain, fruit, vegetable, and milk. Students must choose three of the five food groups offered, but we encourage them to select all five. One of the food groups must be a fruit or vegetable.

School Lunch Prices:

  • Full pay (grades K–5): $2.70
  • Full pay (grades 6–12): $2.90 
  • Reduced (K–12): $0.40
  • Adults: $3.75

School Lunch Times:

  • Head Start: 12:00 P.M.
  • Longfellow Elementary School: 10:40 A.M.
  • Lake Ridge New Tech Middle School : 11:00 A.M.
  • Calumet New Tech High School: 10:45 A.M.

After School Snack Program

The snack program provides students with a nutritious snack at no cost as they participate in scheduled enrichment or educational activities at their school. (Served between 3:15–3:30 P.M.)

Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Program

This program provides free fresh fruits and vegetables to our Longfellow Elementary students during the school day. The goal is to improve students’ overall diet and create healthier eating habits. 

Supper Program

The supper program offers students a nutritious dinner meal as they take part in enrichment activities programs. Any student can come to Lake Ridge Middle School (3:00–3:30 P.M.) or Calumet High School (2:00–2:30 P.M.) to receive a supper meal at no cost. Students do not need to be participating in an enrichment activity to eat for free.
